Madonna deleted her Instagram account, slipped lyrics from “Hung Up” and posted “Confessions II” on her official website. The Queen of Pop finally confirms the sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Time has passed very slowly since the release of Confessions on a Dance FloorMadonna's tenth studio album, in 2005. But the singer has just delivered the clearest confirmation to date: a sequel is on the way.

Madonna confirms Confessions II with a digital tease

On Tuesday (April 14), Madonna cleaned up her Instagram account, released lyrics from the original album's lead single, “Hung Up,” and updated her official website to flash “Confessions II.” No release date or additional information has been communicated, but Madonna has been teasing the project since December 2024. WECB had already announced that a dance album was expected within the year.

Reunion with Stuart Price and Warner Records

Over the past twelve months, Madonna has confirmed that she has returned to the studio with Stuart Price, producer of the original Grammy Award-winning album. In September, she also re-signed with Warner Records, the company that launched her in 1982 under the Sire Records label.
