Rome is preparing to welcome the 2025 edition of the May 1st concert, promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL with the artistic direction of Massimo Bonelli.
The appointment with great live music returns punctual in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, under the sign of the new slogan: “The future sounds today”.
To lead the musical marathon will be Noemi, Ermal Meta and Bigmama, with the pop-scientific incursions of the professor and social stars Vincenzo Schettini.
The line up
The first announced names outline a lineup that reflects the variety and complexity of the contemporary Italian music scene: from Brunori Sas to Franco126, from Gabry Ponte a Gaia, passing through Alfa, Giorgio then, Joan Thiele, World Marcio, Lucio Corsi, Shablo with surprise guests, and still the Benvegnù, Legno & Gio Evan, the peak dolls and and Anna Castiglia. A sound mosaic where pop, urban, electronics and songwriter coexist and contaminate themselves.
We are building a cast that tells, through the music, complexity and beauty of our time “, explains Bonelli, underlining the return to the foreground of the word, narration and critical thinking in songs.
In parallel, 1mnext continues, the contest that will select three emerging artists to bring to the concert stage: among the twelve finalists, names from all over Italy such as Cordio, Fellow, Tära and Arianna Rozzo. The winners will be revealed on Rai Radio2 from 23 to 25 April during “Dreams of Gloria”.
Admission remains free. The concert will be broadcast live on Rai 3, Rai Radio2, Raiplay and Rai Italia, maintaining its popular and participatory vocation.
On May 1st in Rome is once again stage, square and mirror of the country: between music, commitment and desire for the future.
