A powerful collaboration.
The giantssludge mesuch Melvins and the pioneersgrindcore Napalm Death have confirmed the global release of their collaborative album, Savage Imperial Death Marchvia seal Ipecac Recordingsproperty of Mike Pattonscheduled for April 10.
This long-awaited recording collaboration originated as a limited edition vinyl and CD release, available only during their second eponymous joint tour in 2025. Both influential bands toured together for the first time in 2016.
The new version for global release will be a full eight-song LP, including two previously unreleased songs that are added to the list offered to tour attendees.
It was an absolute pleasure and a dream come true to collaborate with them. We wrote songs together. I wrote a riffwe learned it and recorded it right there. They wrote and we also learned it instantly. “It was a 50/50 collaboration,” Buzz revealed in a press release.
