MICHAEL JACKSON at #1 in the UK albums. KNEEECAP first in vinyl

Music news

Seventeen years after the last time, Michael Jackson returns to dominate the British charts. The Essential Michael Jacksonthe compilation released in 2005, regains Number 1 in the UK on the long wave of anticipation for Michaelthe new biopic dedicated to the parable of the King of Pop.

The album had already occupied the top in 2009, remaining for seven consecutive weeks at the top of the charts after the artist's death.

The nostalgia effect, however, does not stop with the collection alone. Also Thriller of 1982 goes up to sixth place, while Bad it re-entered the Top 10 for the first time in fourteen years, landing at number eight. Three discs that tell not only Jackson's cultural permanence, but also the transformation of his figure into a transgenerational pop relic, continually regenerated by cinema, the algorithm and the cult.
