Poppy gives details of her new album, 'Empty Hands'

Music news

A new and deep sound exploration.

The enigmatic and multifaceted singer Poppy has announced his new album, Empty Handsscheduled to be released on January 23, 2026. This long-awaited album, which will be released under Sumerian Recordspromises a new and profound sonic exploration within the American artist's unique artistic universe.

And to make the wait a little more bearable, Poppy has released his new and powerful single, “Bruised Sky”. The song offers a jolt of sonic catharsis. The song fuses melodic delicacy with powerful vocal intensity. This contrast is enhanced by the guitar work, which escalates in ferocity, progressively building a wall of dense, abrasive sound.

The official video clip, under the direction of Orie McGinnessoffers a visual immersion in the atmosphere proposed by the music. The visual narrative presents Poppy and her band in an environment that is clearly dystopian in nature, immersed in palpable darkness and a raw, minimalist aesthetic.

It is expected that Empty Hands further consolidate the position of Poppy as one of the most original and daring voices in contemporary musicnea, fusing elements of metal, industrial pop and performance.
