Review: CAPO PLAZA – “Hustle Mixtape Vol. 2”

Capo-Plaza-Hustle-Mixtape-Vol.-2-album-2025

Capo travels tense and straight, like someone who knows that slowing down is not an option. Hustle Mixtape Vol. 2 it is the second stage of his cycle of resistance, an act of faith in the daily grind, in loyalty to the road and in effort transformed into currency. No nostalgia, zero comfort zone: just asphalt, status and paranoia.

The roster includes Nerissima Serpe, Papa V (Floyd Mayweather ), Tony Boy (Cup + Ice) and Caio Luccas (Tudo bem) grafts that confirm Plaza's link with the new wave, while the feat with Bresh and Tony Effe in It's never enough keeps alive the echo of summer and club flashes. The rest is pure Capo: smooth flow, veteran delivery, a bar that tells of hunger and the fear of losing it.

Yet the mixtape remains an enclosure. Not due to lack of skill, but due to choice of language. Capo moves within the formula – granite beats, obsessive hooks, hypervirilized mood – with the same confidence of someone who doesn't want to betray their own code. It is a declaration of belonging, but also a structural limit: self-referentiality becomes a cage, and the exercise of style is repeated without emotional peaks.

Hustle Mixtape Vol. 2 it sounds like a bulletin from the front, precise but predictable, a reminder that Capo remains a totem of the scene — even though the world around him seems to change faster than him. His obstinacy in remaining faithful to the “Plaza” brand is his strength and his ballast.

It is a record that is listened to with respect, but without shocks. The energy is there, the vision too, perhaps the risk is missing.

Let's enjoy the present, but wait for the next chapter to understand if Capo Plaza really wants to evolve or just reiterate its mythology.
