Geolier does not treat the second volume as a dump. «Everything is possible – Atto II» resumes the discussion of the January album in nine tracks
Geolier has the habit of dividing his records into two parts. It happened with “The courage of children” in 2023 and with “Dio lo sa” the following year, it happens again with “Everything is possible”: nine months after the album of the first volume arrives the “Act II”.
The second act, in Geolier’s method, is not the storage room where the leftovers from the first end up. It’s not a coda or even a deluxe edition filled with material left in the archive: it’s the continuation of the album’s discussion, picked up from the point where it left off. Nine songs, three of which have already been released as singles in recent months, For us, Winners and Authorities, which close the circle of this chapter.
Within this logic, guests arrive almost alone. Lazza is in It’s not you anymoreShiva in Emanuele and Andrea, Achille Lauro in For us. Over the years, Geolier has shared songs, stages and street pieces with the first two with a bond that goes beyond music, and the title of the piece with Shiva declares it using the real names of both.
Emanuele Palumbo comes to terms with himself and talks about his dreams, from the hunger of the beginning to the awareness of who has reached the top. The story opens with a dedication to himself, For Emanuele, a kind of budget. Legend instead it starts softly on the strings and then moves between bars and awareness, with an aftertaste almost reminiscent of a 007 soundtrack. Ward on Sunday it’s among the best pieces on the album: very West Coast, on a very stylish beat.
Closes Waiting for the miraclea piece of pride and redemption that speaks of faith, gratitude and Naples, which for Geolier is much more than a place of origin: it is a constant memory. The song ends with a thank you addressed to the audience, and that audience has been reciprocating it with interest for years.
Once we get to the end, the title sounds less like a wish and more like a report in both acts.
