The single takes up a classic song from his discography and adapts it to his present.
Swedish singer Robyncontinues to tease what will be his next album. On this occasion he presents “Blow My Mind”the fourth single that will be part of Nonexistenthis new studio album, which will arrive on March 27 via Young and with which he promises to maintain that infallible formula of melancholy accompanied by synthesizers.
The release of this song marks a particular moment within the artist's new stage. “Blow My Mind” It is not a completely new song, but a reinterpretation of the song that Robyn originally published in 2002 within the album Don't Stop The Music. More than two decades later, the singer decided to give it a new spin both in sound and meaning.
What makes this premiere special is its origin, since this new version works as a tribute to his three-year-old son. From that personal experience, Robyn she rewrote the lyrics and transformed the song into a rawer, more honest look at motherhood. Far from idealizing her, the artist suggests that living with a small child also implies intensity, fatigue and emotions that are not always calm.
Nonexistent It is the Swedish artist's ninth studio material and also marks her return after Honey (2018), a work that consolidated its place within contemporary electronic pop. In addition to the album release, the singer is also preparing The Sexist Toura tour that will tour Europe, North America and Australia. Among the confirmed dates is Mexico with a concert in Sports Palace on September 19 in Mexico City, where it will feature Lykke Li as a special guest.
