The Mexican duo announced OurHome as his next studio album.

Rodrigo and Gabriela They are back with new music. The Mexican duo announced their next studio album, OurHomewhich will arrive on September 18 through ATO Records. As a first preview, the duo shared “Monster”a song that shows a much darker and more cinematic side of the project.

As a first preview, the duo presented “Monster”a piece inspired by the Japanese work of the same name Naoki Urasawa. The song takes as its starting point the moral and psychological dilemmas present in this story to transform them into a song full of tension and emotional depth, which stands out for the cinematographic overtones with which it explores the conflicts of the human mind.

In addition, the single is accompanied by a video illustrated by the artist himself. Urasawawho is a legend of Japanese manga and the mind behind works like 20th Century Boys. After discovering that the Mexican duo had been inspired by their iconic thriller psychological to compose the song, the artist decided to join the project and design the illustrations that appear in the clip.

OurHome was recorded in Tokyo and produced by Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quinterowho present material that emerges as a reflection on identity, inspiration and the meaning of finding a place that can be called home. Likewise, the album features collaborations with the former guitarist of Megadeth, Marty Friedman; Japanese jazz pianist Hiromiand the composer Yukihiro Atsumi.
