Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy: Power duo from The Muppet Show

Who wears it best? Sabrina Carpenter play binoculars with Miss Piggy in the “Muppet Show” teaser. The pop star will perform with the entire Muppets gang when the musical special premieres on Disney+ and ABC on February 4.

Miss Piggy is not the type to get stage fright, but she would never turn down a shower of compliments. In the trailer for Muppet Showthe emblematic character receives encouragement from Sabrina Carpenterthe special guest star who will perform alongside the Muppets in the musical event premiering February 4 on Disney+ and ABC.

The 50th anniversary of the franchise

Disney first announced its plans for The Muppet Show in September 2025. The Feb. 4 premiere coincides with the 50th anniversary of the show, which began as a variety series in 1976. Dave Goelz, who voices Gonzo the Great among other characters, returns alongside Bill Barretta, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz and David Rudman.

This special from Muppet Show follows the 2023 series The Muppets Mayhemwhich included cameos from Lil Nas Muppets Now in 2020, which hosted RuPaul, Aubrey Plaza, Danny Trejo and many others. The last true one-off special episode of The Muppets was in 2021 with the release of Muppets Haunted Mansion.
