SANREMO 2026 – PATTY PRAVO: “What satisfies me most about my career is still being able to sing and sing well”

Interviews

“Opera”, written by Giovanni Caccamo, is the song that Patty Pravo presented for this Sanremo Festival. A diva who gives us her art more than competing.

After the Festival, Patty Pravo will leave for a theater tour visiting the main Italian cities but first she will present her album in the museums selected by the artist herself.

THE INTERVIEW

Do you still have a dream to realize in your career? I know you don't like racing but would you like to win?

In the meantime I realized this about being here, then we'll see what will happen in the future. For the victory, no, for goodness sake. I didn't even win with “And tell me you don't want to die” written by Vasco.

Were you happy with Madonna's cover of “La Doll”?

Very much. Madonna gave me a great gift.

He made transgression his focal point. “Opera”, right from the title, is classic. Is this also a transgression compared to today's music?

“Opera” is something that comes from within. It's a reminder of the harmonies, but no it doesn't go against today's music.

How exciting is it to return to the Festival?

Participating was very pleasant. We sing every day, it's a nice stage, I really like being here.

“Ti lascio una canzone” by Ornella Vanoni is the cover she will present tomorrow. How did you choose it?

It's a song that Paoli wrote so it talks about love. There will be a dancer who will dance to my song.

If you could choose an artist to “donate” your body to for a work of art, who would you choose?

Tintoretto because he is great, Mario Schifano because he is a friend of mine and a great painter.
