The British duo returns with new collaborations and a video directed by Ben Wheatley.
Sleaford Mods announced the launch of The Demise of Planettheir new studio album arriving on January 16, 2026 via Rough Trade Records. The duo formed by Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn presents his most extensive and ambitious work so far, accompanied by the premiere of the single and video “The Good Life”directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List, A Field In England) and with the participation of Gwendoline Christie (game of Thrones, Wednesday) and BigSpecial.
The album will feature high-profile collaborations, including Aldous Hardingthe soul singer Liam Baileythe grime MC snowy and Sue Tompkinsformer vocalist of Life Without Buildings. In the words of Williamson, The Demise of Planet “It reflects a life marked by uncertainty, shaped by a collective trauma. We live among ruins, in an abomination etched in our psyche.”
The new single, “The Good Life”captures that conflict between criticism and self-awareness that defines the spirit of Sleaford Modswith an urgent and biting sound that unfolds over the precise rhythms of Fearn. Their video, now available on the band's YouTube channel, combines satire, internal tension and restrained energy, reaffirming the duo's place as one of the most provocative voices in contemporary Britain.
The Demise of Planet arrives as successor to UK GRIM (2023), their most successful album to date, and will be available in multiple limited editions.
