A preview of their next album that questions human control over technology.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium presents “Meat Machines”a new single that is part of his next album, The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathywhich will be released on May 1 via ATO Records. With this song, the project formed by the bassist Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon delves into what it means to be human within an increasingly automated environment.

“Meat Machines” It emerges as a reminder that sound experimentation and social criticism can coexist on the same musical journey. Additionally, the song is accompanied by a video that reinforces its psychedelic aesthetic and visual narrative. According to Lennonthe topic raises the relationship with artificial intelligence; tool that, being increasingly present in everyday life, can generate an identity crisis in front of it.

The single continues the conceptual line that the band had already proposed in “WAP (What a Predicament)”a theme that explores morality and technological impact. However, this time the focus becomes more direct by questioning whether people still retain control over their decisions or whether AI is beginning to take that place.

Through “Meat Machines”the musicians opt for a more melodic and experimental direction. Its ability to generate tension, without losing that groove characteristic that balances complexity with the sound proposal, ends up reinforcing the essence of the duo. With this launch, The Claypool Lennon Delirium reaffirms his interest in exploring complex ideas through soundscapes that invite both reflection and experimentation.
