THE NEIGHBOURHOOD watches the video for “Hula Girl”

Music news

The Neighborhood's new album “(((((ultraSOUND))))) is out.

The album, recorded between Conway Studios in Los Angeles and The Beehive in Van Nuys, marks a rebirth rather than a return for the Californian band that defined the black and white pop melancholy of the 2010s. Jesse Rutherford and his companions find themselves without label pressure, in total creative autonomy:

We came back because we wanted to,” they say.

THE DISC

In fifteen songs, (((((ultraSOUND))))) abandons stark contrasts to embrace nuance: introspection, freedom and a new emotional awareness.

Before everything was black and white, now it's grey”, says Rutherford. A record that sounds like a confession in chiaroscuro, between balance and chaos, in full The Neighborhood style.
