¡The Notwist is back! The German band, known for its indie rock with touches of post rock and experimental electronics, has just broken the silence with the announcement of its next studio album, News From Planet Zombiewhich will be available on March 13, 2026 via Morr Music. This material arrives after Vertigo Days of 2021, an epic return after seven years of waiting.

To give us a preview, the band has already released the first single: “X-Ray”. This track not only confirms that the creativity of The Notwist remains intact, but rather suggests a new layer of sonic exploration that is sure to delight both long-time fans and people who are just discovering them. This material promises to keep the band as a key reference in the global alternative music scene.

The river that I usually visit here in Munich has been there forever and will be there long after us. Always the same, but always changing. It's very relaxing, but it also constantly reminds me that, like this river, time only flows in one direction and there is no turning back. Every moment is very valuable,” explained Micha Acher in a press release.
