The Benidorm Fest 2026 It's just around the corner. Next February the fifth edition of the musical competition will be held in Benidorm. An edition that comes with many new features. To start, a cash prize of 150,000 euros and the recording of a song in Miami with a super producer. Furthermore, for the first time, the winning song will not represent Spain at Eurovision. And RTVE will not participate in the musical competition this year after learning of the EBU's decision to keep Israel in the competition.
In this way, on December 19, we were finally able to listen to the 18 songs that are part of this year's contest. Among them is Ladies and the Tramp: a song by María León and Julia Medina that relies on empowering lyrics and a pop rhythm that gets into your head.
What many did not expect was that the chorus of the song, where several female voices appear singing, were made with Julia Medina's friends from OT 2018. And the singer-songwriter has managed to bring together some of her editing colleagues in the studio to record these choruses. A secret that has now been revealed and that has made fans of the format very happy.

Because Julia, in addition to having Ainhoa Buitrago and Marta Soto, has had four colleagues from OT 2018: María Escarmiento, Alba Reche, Marilia and Sabela. In this way, the singer-songwriter has managed to make a musical reunion in this song. A complete success.
“I'm starting 2026 with this soundtrack. A really cool song that is going to give María León and me an incredible time at the Benidorm Fest. Of course there are great women and friends who accompany me with their voices. Good luck,” Julia wrote along with a video in which they appear recording these choirs.
“Open to hiring,” María Escarmiento has written. “Nothing is better than how wonderful it is,” Sabela said. “How beautiful, my friend,” Alba Reche said. And, as we have seen in the video, the girls had a wonderful time. We are sure that these choirs will give luck to María León and Julia Medina in their time in the contest.
