“Deliver Me from Trying” is the new preview of ‘Just Beyond Endless Mountain’

The Tallest Man on Earth is back with Just Beyond Endless Mountainan album that will arrive this October 9 through ANTI-. As a sample of the material, the Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson presented “Deliver Me From Trying”a new single that is part of the artist’s eighth album after Henry St. (2023).

With “Deliver Me From Trying”, Matsson He looks to his roots, since for this song he returned to Dalarna, in central Sweden, the region where he grew up and where he once again encountered the music that marked part of his childhood. The song is the second preview of the album, after the release of “Colors”, and revolves around the search for resilience and learning to let go of the past.

He track It arrived accompanied by a video filmed in the rural Swedish landscapes, reinforcing the connection between the theme, the environment and the origins that inspired the project. Throughout his career, The Tallest Man on Earth has built an identity around folk, with influences from American sounds; however, Just Beyond Endless Mountain represents a different approach, in which Matsson explores the musical legacy of his native country.

This work marks an important and personal point for the composer, since he reconnects with the cultural heritage of his childhood, which gives the project a renewed air and full of identity. In this way, the musician returns to his place of origin to better understand his own history, moving away for a moment from what is usual through material made up of 11 songs.
