Directed by Daniele Luchetti, based on the work of Domenico Starnone and starring Elio Germano, Vittoria Puccini and Isabella Ferrari. This is not the first foray of york at the cinema; had already left his mark on the acclaimed Suspiria in 2018 and recently contributed his music to the final season of Peaky Blinders. The new movie, according Luchettiexplores a life conditioned by the fear of being discovered by a loved one, the only person the protagonist fully trusts in a moment of abandonment.

Confidence follow the story of Pietro Vellaa teacher who works in a ruined Roman school, and Teresa, a brilliant student captivated by him. Years later, they meet again and intertwine their lives in a romance where dark secrets play a crucial role in the fate of their relationship.

Although the film does not yet have a confirmed release date for the public, expectations are high, especially with the festival description calling it “enigmatic, claustrophobic and intense, amplified by the soundtrack of Thom Yorke“.
