Tim Very, drummer of Manchester Orchestra, suddenly passes away at the age of 42. The Atlanta indie rock band pays tribute to the man they describe as “the most beloved human being any of us had the good fortune to know.”
Tim Very, historic drummer for the Atlanta indie rock band Manchester Orchestra, has died at the age of 42.
The group announced its disappearance on social networks on Saturday. Neither the date nor the cause of death was specified, but the training mentioned a “sudden death”.
Even if he was not the founding drummer of Manchester Orchestra – four musicians had preceded him between the creation of the group in 2004 and his arrival in 2011 – Tim Very remains the one who lasted the longest behind the drums, with fifteen years spent in the group.
After joining the band in 2011, Very has played on the band's last three studio albums: Cope (2014), A Black Mile to the Surface (2017) and The Million Masks of God (2021). Manchester Orchestra released their latest EP, The Valley of Visionin 2023.
