Turnstile NEVER ENOUGH

Reviews

Hardcore also dreams.

Turnstile It does not repeat formulas: it challenges them. With NEVER ENOUGHtheir fourth studio album, the Baltimore band returns with a proposal that not only honors their roots in hardcore, but expands them into new territories with ease, color and bravery. The result is an album full of heart, which dares to experiment without losing strength or direction.

The album opens with “NEVER ENOUGH”an immersive introduction that works as a navigation chart: hypnotic synthesizers, an almost cinematic atmosphere and an invitation to let go of expectations. From that first minute it is clear that Turnstile A new stage is beginning, freer, more visual, more open to the unexpected.

Throughout 14 songs, the band explores a universe in which distortion coexists with moments of groovepop melodies and even surprising winds —as in “DREAMING”— without losing the furious pulse that characterizes them. songs like “SOLE”, “SEEIN' STARS and “BIRDS” They preserve the urgency of the past, but now they dialogue with pieces like “SUNSHOWER” either “LOOK OUT FOR ME”where introspection prevails without the energy being diluted.

This is also the first album without its founding guitarist. Brady Ebert. Far from feeling like a loss, this change opens space for a new sonic vision. The band does not seek to replace what was, but rather to build from what is to come. Rather riffs predictable, there are textures that suggest, layers that invite you to listen in more detail, a commitment to evolution instead of repetition.

NEVER ENOUGH confirms that Turnstile He has no interest in fitting in. On the contrary: he insists on showing how far hardcore can go when it is allowed to grow. A vibrant, emotional and purposeful album that points directly to the future.

The most exciting thing is that the album doesn't feel like an arrival point, but rather a departure sign towards something bigger. Turnstile He moves with the confidence of someone who has already understood that the path is his and that his sound—now freer, more melodic, more cinematic—can connect with audiences that go far beyond hardcore. On that horizon, the sky is no longer the limit; It is just the beginning of something immense.
