LITFIBA: “FORTY YEARS OF 17 KINGS” 20 summer concerts (Info and Tickets)

Music news

2026 will be the year LITFIBA of the 80s returns to the stage with the original lineup.

A 20-date tour around Italy to celebrate forty years of “17 Re”, the album that marked an epochal turning point in Italian rock and consecrated the Florentine band on a national and European level.

The double album “17 Re”, (the first in the Italian new wave), the second episode of a trilogy that today sounds very current dedicated to the victims of power, with its bold and experimental formula still today expresses a rare strength, capable of crossing generations.

“FORTY YEARS of 17 KINGS” – TOUR 2026: this is the name of the project that will bring together Piero Pelù, Ghigo Renzulli, Antonio Aiazzi and Gianni Maroccolo on the same stage to bring live the emotions, power, energy and visionary and anticipatory poetry of one of the most beloved chapters in the history of European rock.

Released in 1986 as a double album (only in France it was released as a single album) and still considered by many to be Litfiba's stylistic masterpiece of the 1980s, “17 Kings” is part of the so-called Victims of Power Trilogy together with “Desaparecido” and “Litfiba 3”.

“17 Re” is made up of 16 songs and takes its title from what was supposed to be the title track, “17 Re”, but the track was not published as it was deemed unconvincing and musically not up to par with the others on the album (the text is partly printed on the inside of the album cover).

The “FORTY YEARS OF 17 KINGS” tour will touch some of the most important Italian cities and festivals in a calendar that will run exclusively through the summer of 2026 from June to August.

These 20 dates will be an unrepeatable opportunity to listen to the songs from that legendary album live again as has never happened before in history, in addition to the great classics that have marked the band's career. A repertoire that has become legendary, with sounds, atmospheres, lyrics, vocal style and performances that have marked the history of Italian rock.
