John Lydon's Public Image Ltd. add a new Italian stop to their “This Is Not The Last Tour” for 2026!
After the success of the summer dates, they will return to Italy next spring to perform at Alcatraz in Milan on May 26th.
PiL's European tour dates for 2026 follow the momentum gained in 2025, when the band played a concert series and attended festivals in the UK and Europe. After the passing of his wife Nora and lifelong friend and manager John Rambo Stevens in 2023, Lydon considered retiring from touring. However, he has been overwhelmed by the response, love and support from fans and 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the band.
There will be a new live album, recorded during the 2025 tour and scheduled for release in the spring, and the band will enter the studio early this year to record an album of new material for release in the fall.
Looking ahead to European concerts in 2026, Lydon said:
After the loss of Nora and Rambo, I couldn't see a way out. But people were incredibly positive, they showed me so much love and asked me to bring PiL back on tour. With so many requests and the band meaning so much to them, I couldn't stay on the couch without leaving – as tempting as it was.”
After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed post-punk pioneers Public Image Ltd (PiL). Considered one of the most innovative bands ever, their music and vision have yielded 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 albums.
With an ever-evolving lineup and a unique sound – blending rock, dance, folk, pop and dub – Lydon led the band from their debut album 'First Issue' in 1978 through to 1992's 'That What Is Not', before a 17-year hiatus.
Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, undertaking extensive touring and releasing three critically acclaimed albums: 'This is PiL' (2012), 'What The World Needs Now…' (2015) and 'End of World' (2023).
The current lineup includes Mark Roberts (drums), John Lydon (vocals), Lu Edmonds (guitar) and Scott Firth (bass).
