A fantastic collaboration.

“Damascus” is the highly anticipated fourth single from The Mountainthe new album by Gorillaz which will be released on February 27, 2026 under the label KONG. This track is a stellar collaboration that fuses the talents of Damon Albarnthe Syrian electronic dabke superstar Omar Souleyman and the renowned New York rapper Yasiin Beybetter known as Mos Def.

After their live debut at Copper Box Arena from London in September, the song quickly demonstrated its international reach. Not only was he part of the setlist in it Gaia Festival of Madrid, but was also included in the presentation of the charity event Together For Palestine in the iconic Wembley Arena.

“Damascus” follows three singles that set the tone for the new album by The Mountain: “The God of Lying” (with punk rock band IDLES), “The Manifesto” (with Argentine rapper Thunder and the South African MC proofoffering global rhythms and incisive lyrics), and the most recent, “The Happy Director” (along with the synth pop duo Sparks). These releases have positioned the album as one of the most anticipated, promising an eclectic and ambitious sonic exploration.
