The British duo begins a new stage with a single that talks about taking risks.
After almost three years since the launch of Back to the Water Below (2023), Royal Blood is back with Dead Companyhis next album that will arrive on November 13, 2026 through Warner Records. As a preview of the material, the duo presented “Ten Over Ten”a single that serves as the first sample of the sound that will be present on the album.
Through “Ten Over Ten”, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher present a theme with an explosive and forceful sound, thanks to the presence of the riffs and the drums, which complement a lyric related to resisting and taking risks, in which life is portrayed as a total bet where, although giving everything can go wrong, the important thing is to learn not to give up and continue.
According to Mike Kerrthe song was born from an idea by Ben Thatcher and ended up evoking the spirit of bands like Motörhead. The launch marks a new stage for Royal Bloodwho decided to take a break after a period marked by tours, festivals and four studio productions, because after closing the cycle of celebration for the ten years of their debut album, the duo chose to return to their daily lives in Brighton.
With Dead Companythe project seems to have found a way to return to its roots without getting trapped in nostalgia, through material that was written and recorded with being played live in mind, a decision that allowed them to recover the complicity of playing together and re-engage with each other’s rhythm.
