Mariah Carey has just extended his record to Billboard Hot 100. On Monday, the R&B diva celebrated “All I Want for Christmas Is You” achieved a total of 22 weeks at the top of the singles chart.

The holiday classic spent 22 weeks at number one.

“22!!!! Really grateful for this Christmas gift”Carey wrote on Instagram, accompanying her message with holiday-themed emojis.

Mariah Carey's Christmas classic resurfaces in the charts every holiday season and broke the record for most weeks at number one earlier this month, surpassing the record previously held by both “Old Town Road” of Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey.

Christmas music dominated the top of the charts this week with the top 24 positions, including “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee, “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms, “Last Christmas” from Wham! And “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” also extended its record on the Streaming Songs chart, reaching 26 weeks at the top spot.

It's been a winning season for Carey, who was awarded $92,300 to be paid by country artist Vince Vance's lawyer after his copyright infringement lawsuit was dismissed in March. Vance claimed that “All I Want For Christmas is You” had plagiarized a 1988 Christmas jingle of the same name from his band Vince Vance & the Valiants, and was seeking $20 million in the November 2023 case.

Carey is next scheduled to perform at the New Year's Rockin' Eveafter concluding his tour Christmas Time of 28 dates with a 10-show residency in Las Vegas and a final performance in New York on December 27.
