'Spatial, No Problem', the posthumous album by Lee “Scratch” Perry

Almost five years after his departure, the legacy of Lee “Scratch” Perry continues to expand. The iconic Jamaican producer was a key figure in the evolution of dub and reggae; However, despite the passage of time, this 2026 will have a posthumous release titled Spatial, No Problema collaborative album with the German duo Mouse On Mars.

The material will arrive on June 5 via Domino Recording and will bring together eight songs that were worked on in December 2019, when Perry visited the Paraverse Studio in Berlin. As revealed Jan St. Wernermember of Mouse on Marsthe sessions were pure magic and spontaneity, where nothing was planned and they simply dedicated themselves to creating. The album's title even arose from a conversation about spatial audio, to which Perry answered: “Spatial, No Problem”.

As a first advance, it has already been released “Rockcurry”a single that reveals a mix between the psychedelic dub characteristic of Perry and electronic experimentation Mouse on Mars. The result is a work that feels both organic and futuristic, making it clear that the influence of Lee “Scratch” Perry It remains in force, even after his death.

In addition to its official launch, Spatial, No Problem will have a special presentation in London from June 5 to 13, as part of the exhibition Project A Black Planet, where attendees will be able to experience the album in spatial audio format within the Barbican Centerexpanding the immersive dimension of the project.
