The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is getting closer and the music that will accompany this sporting event is also arriving. The opening ceremony will be one of the highlights of next June 11, where, according to the FIFAMexico, the United States and Canada will each have their own opening event with the participation of different performers.

Mexico City will be the first to blow the opening whistle of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ from the Banorte Stadium (before Aztec Stadium). The inauguration will take place prior to the match between Mexico and South Africa and will begin 90 minutes before the match. In addition, the show will have Mexican culture as its main axis by incorporating elements such as papel picado, regional music, dance and the participation of folkloric and indigenous artists.

As for the lineup musical, names like Manna, The Blue Angels, Alejandro Fernandez, Belinda, Lila Downs, Danny Ocean, J Balvin and Tylawho will be part of a presentation designed to represent the sound and cultural diversity of Mexico and Latin America.

The stadium doors will open four hours before the event to offer special and dynamic activities aimed at fans. This proposal is part of an unprecedented format for the FIFA World Cup 2026™since, instead of having a single opening ceremony, each host country will have its own show.
