Pond explores nostalgia on “Through The Heather”

Music news

The Australian band shared the third preview of Terrestrials.

Almost a month after pond present Terrestrialstheir next studio material scheduled for June 19, 2026, the group released “Through The Heather”. This is a new preview with a melancholic rhythm that maintains the psychedelic touch that characterizes them. This single is the third that the band shares to promote their new album, which will arrive after Stung! (2024).

According to Nick Allbrookthe song was born while the band was touring Europe last year. The musician explained that the song arose in the midst of the daily chaos of travel, between vans, fast food and long hours on the road, a period in which the drummer James Ireland He experimented with different sequences. The result was a material that captures the feeling of search and longing that comes with being far from home.

For its part, “Through The Heather” confirms the sound direction that pond began to show Terrestrials with simple ones like “Terrestrials” and “Two Hands”previous previews that are also part of this new production. In this material, the group once again opts for a psychedelic sound, although now with a more introspective and nostalgic tone that reveals a more sensitive and contemplative side.

With this new release, pond demonstrates its ability to reinvent itself without abandoning its identity. Through “Through The Heather”the band shows that it continues to explore new textures and emotions within a musical universe that promises to become a reflection of its artistic evolution.
