Death Valley Girls is back with the announcement of his next studio album, Welcome to Earthwhich will be available from October 9 under the shelter of Suicide Squeeze Records. This album arises from a heartbreaking experience, taking as inspiration the devastating forest fires in the region that destroyed the singer’s home. Bonnie Bloomgarden in Altadena.
As a preview, they presented their first single “Message From the Venus Flower” along with a video clip directed by Ian Svenonius. In this eighties and funky influenced song, Bloomgarden transforms the pain of your dog’s death into an injection of spiritual energy.
Ian Svenonius is one of my favorite artists! His writing, his music, his taste and his philosophy are great. It is a legend of innovation that constantly evolves at an exponential pace, while still evoking essential elements of the past with sincere reverence. And yet, it always manages to stay at the forefront of modernity! What he and Sandy Denton have created on the scene with the Rated Z Dancers is impressive. “I can’t believe they agreed to make a video for us!!,” the vocalist said in a press release.
