Music news

The song brings together the voices of the four members and marks the beginning of a new stage.

Anamanaguchi is back with “Sucker Punch”single co-produced by Dave Fridmanknown for his collaborations with The Flaming Lips and MGMT. With this release, the quartet made up of Peter Berkman, Ary Warnaar, James DeVito and Luke Silas shows his musical evolution.

“Sucker Punch” combines atmospheric guitars and electronic sounds that build a chaotic atmosphere, to which the voices of the four members are incorporated to provide different textures to the track.

According to Warnaarguitarist of the group, the idea was born as a homemade demo recorded on four tracks, before the band decided to work with Fridmann for the album Anyway (2025). However, the song was left out of the material because it had a different structure, but after the album was published, the group returned to the piece with the aim of developing a version with which they were satisfied.

The launch comes accompanied by a video directed by Verebonumwhose proposal incorporates visual effects that complement the experimental atmosphere of the theme. Furthermore, it adds to “Yeah I Guess” as part of the singles that Anamanaguchi has premiered in 2026.
