“Canzonissima” closes this evening, April 25, on Rai 1 with the final hosted by Milly Carlucci: an evening of musical challenges, guests and tributes that crowns the song of the year.

The winning song of the fifth episode was “Un Senso” performed by Leo Gassman, who will thus enter the final together with “The Night” by Arisa,”My free song”, played by Fabrizio Moro, “The football draft of the class of '68” again played by Arisa and to “Caruso”, played by Vittorio Grigólo.

THE FINAL

The final will take place in two rounds. In the first, the objective will be – as usual – the choice of the Canzonissima of the episode, while in the second round the six Canzonissime winners of each episode will compete until the Canzonissima champion of this edition is declared.

The theme of the evening will be “The success of the heart”, that is, a significant piece of one's career: a choice capable of telling, through music, the artistic and human path of each protagonist.

GUESTS

Riccardo Rossi and Pierluigi Pardo will perform singing a hint of “E la vita la vita”, the famous 1974 song written by Enzo Jannacci and Renato Pozzetto, brought to success by the duo Cochi and Renato as the final theme of “Canzonissima”.

The new couple who will host, for Italy, the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna – from 12 to 16 May – composed of Gabriele Corsi and Elettra Lamborghini will also be protagonists of the evening.

With them, Sal Da Vinci who will represent Italy, and will interpret his “Forever yes”. Milly Carlucci will also welcome you on stage Senhit, the winner of the San Marino Song Contest 2026 with her Superstar, written together with Boy George.

Accompanying the singers in the live performances will be the 25-piece orchestra directed by Maestro Luigi Saccà; some performances will be enriched by a dance troupe choreographed by Matteo Addino.

THE JURY

Returning to the song competition, three voting members will always comment on the performances and contribute to the choice of the Canzonissima: a panel of personalities from the world of entertainment, the “Magnificent 7”, Claudio Cecchetto, Francesca Fialdini, Pierluigi Pardo, Riccardo Rossi, Simona Izzo, Caterina Balivo and Giacomo Maiolini, the singers themselves – who will be able to vote for their favorite song excluding their own – and the public, involved through social media.

THE VARIOUS EPISODES

Each episode is built around a specific theme:
• The song of the heart: a song by other artists that inspired their career.
• Dedication: a song by others to dedicate to someone or something special.
• The first success: the piece from one's repertoire with which the relationship with the public began.
• Sanremo's revenge: a song that didn't win at the Festival, but remained in people's hearts.
• The song I wish I had written: a loved and admired song that every artist would have wanted to sign.
• Your greatest hit: the signature song of your career.
