Fulminacci in Melpignano brings “All’aperto” to the heart of Salento: a concert that runs between irony, melancholy, pop and songwriting.
In the arena of Piazza Antonio Avantaggiato, for the twentieth edition of the SEI Festival, Fulminacci brings his Fulminacci outdoors, the summer tour born after the debut in the sports halls and after a 2026 which also saw him protagonist on the Ariston stage with “Stupida unfortunate”, winner of the “Mia Martini” Critics Award.
Fulminacci takes the stage and, as usual, brings together lightness and depth, immediate songs and writing, irony and melancholy.
“Forte la banda” opens the journey, then comes “Indispensable”, “Somewhere in Italy”, “Brutte companies”, “Nothing in particular”, “The bicycles”, “+1”, “Garlic and oil”, “Sottocosto” and “L’avventura”, mixing the repertoire in a masterly way.
Do you know what Fulminacci’s strong point is? The ability to talk about everyday life without making it banal. A relationship, an escape, a bad day, a small obsession, a memory. Anything can become material for a song. Calcinacci, moreover, was born precisely from this gaze: taking what seems ordinary and finding something universal inside.
On stage the live dimension amplifies this characteristic.
“Quartetto”, “Tutto bene”, “Nulla di stupefacente” and “Una sera” accompany the audience into the most singer-songwriter part of the show, while “La siepe” and “San Giovanni” take us back to the origins, to that journey that began with La vita truly which made Fulminacci one of the most recognizable voices of the new Italian song.
Then the concert changes pace.
“Meno di zero”, “Borghese in bourgeois”, “Damned me”, “Casomai” and “Tuttoaiuto” increase the pace up to “Spacca”, “Tattica” and “Baciami kissi”.
“Tommaso” is one of the most awaited moments, one of those songs that already belong to the collective imagination of those who have followed Fulminacci since the beginning. Then the finale entrusted to “Santa Marinella” and “Stupida unfortunate”, with the latter ideally closing a circle opened months ago in Sanremo.
“Open air thunderbolts” does not end in Salento. The tour continues today, August 10th, in Locorotondo for the Locus Festival, then on August 12th it will be in Catania for the Sotto il Vulcano Fest, on August 21st in Alghero, on August 29th in Trento, on August 30th in Mantua and on September 5th in Sesto Fiorentino. Added to these dates are also the two concerts announced in Spain, in Madrid and Barcelona, scheduled for November.
In Melpignano, under the August sky, Fulminacci demonstrated once again that to fill a stage you don’t necessarily need great effects.
Sometimes all you need is a band, the songs, an audience that knows them by heart and a few words said at the right time.
