David Bowie: a new album for Record Store Day

Waiting in the Sky ”, which includes recordings from David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust era, will be released in April.

A new David Bowie vinyl, recorded during the Ziggy Stardust era, is set to be released this year for Record Store Day.

Waiting In The Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth) is a selection of early recordings from Trident Studios in 1971 and includes the majority of the recordings that became Bowie’s iconic record, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars.

In addition to these familiar tracks, the upcoming album also includes four new songs, including a previously unreleased cover of “ Round And Round » by Chuck Berry.

The album will be released on April 20 for Record Store Day. Check out the cover art and tracklist below.

In recent years, Bowie albums have been a highlight of Record Store Day. In 2023, the box “ Laughing With Liza » was released and included Bowie’s first singles released by Deram Records.
