The material will arrive on February 12, 2027 through City Slang and is born from the mourning of greenspan after the death of his father and a childhood friend.

“Underneath the Moon” take inspiration from Skinamarinkan experimental horror film released in 2022, whose aesthetics play with darkness and disturbing images. From this reference, the Canadian duo created a piece with electronic and psychedelic touches that progressively evolves until creating a disturbing scenario.

He track arrives accompanied by a video directed by John Smithwhose proposal reinforces the atmosphere of the song that was created through a recorder Tascam that greenspan used to experiment with loops of tape. This process anticipates the sound universe of the album, in which Junior Boys It fuses melancholy and nostalgia with influences from horror films and science fiction.

With this release, which becomes the first promotional preview of the material composed of 11 songs, Junior Boys shows that he continues to explore and experiment with his sound without losing its essence. The Gore was conceived as a complement to waiting game (2022), so the duo takes up some elements of their previous work to combine them with personal experiences that happened during this new stage.
