A track in which the melancholic voice of Julian Casablancas stands out.
The Strokes is back with a vengeance with the release of “Falling Out of Love”the second single from their long-awaited new album Reality Awaits. This work marks the band's first album in six years and will be available from June 26.
After the first preview, “Going Shopping”characterized by its use of Auto-Tune and a pop-rock energy, the band presents a new single that offers a notable contrast. “Falling Out of Love”produced by Rick Rubinis a melancholic and slow piece, significantly slower than April's theme. This new single subtly evokes “Can't Help Falling In Love With You” of Elvis Presley and stands out for a catchy bass line performed by Nikolai Fraiture.
The song is about overcoming a failed relationship, Julian Casablancas uses his voice to express lines like: “It's not a crime, it's not a lie/ Falling out of love for the first time,” and “Something is wrong or intentional/ But I'm fine for the first time.”. These releases are further proof of the great creative moment that the band is experiencing.
