Music news

WECB invites you to discover an exclusive preview of the music video for Slumdog, from the Ile-de-France group Rest in Gale.

Rest in Gale is preparing to release their new music video: “Slumdog. » Discover his music video, directed by Élise Le Garrec and Jules Mercier, in WECB France preview via the player below:

This piece tells the story “of a man lost in his own body, living with his addictions as with a domestic animal: a faithful companion who slowly destroys him. To survive, he only has one refuge left – to go into himself, observe the infinitely small, dream of escape, take a vacation from himself, disappear for a moment to finally learn to shine again. » The clip develops this idea by offering an introspective and dreamlike journey, carried by a finely crafted aesthetic.

“Slumdog” is from the album English Winewhose release is announced on November 20. With such a title, the duo formed by William Rains and Julien Onyx embraces their obsession with English rock. That's where the band came from: an escape to London, during which the musicians were able to play in the streets, on the barges of the Regent's Canal and absorb the dirty elegance of British nights.

In the meantime, the group had released an album entitled Rafflereleased in 2021, which won over the editorial staff.
