The Chilean singer-songwriter presents the penultimate preview of Damned.
A few weeks after the launch of Damned, Francisca Valenzuela presents “SOS”the penultimate preview of his next studio album, which will be available from July 30, 2026 through Frantastic Records. The theme explores the contradictions between ambition, the need for validation and the emotional exhaustion caused by living under the demands of a world that demands permanent success.
With a proposal that mixes alternative pop and indie pop with electronic overtones, “SOS” creates an intense, confessional atmosphere that addresses shame, exhaustion, and the constant need to fit in. The piece transforms fragility into a creative force and portrays feelings such as anxiety, alienation and frustration from an intimate perspective, but easy to recognize for those who have felt the pressure to meet other people's expectations.
According to the singer herself, the single was born from a personal contradiction, questioning a culture obsessed with immediacy and attention while, at the same time, seeking to be part of it. This duality becomes the axis of a piece that functions as a relief and reveals the most vulnerable side of the artist in Damnedan album that promises to become one of the most personal works of his career.
The release comes accompanied by a video that expands the conceptual universe of the song. Inspired by sculpture Mamanof Louise Bourgeoisand in The metamorphosisof Franz Kafkathe clip uses the figure of a spider to represent transformation, the feeling of strangeness and the search for one's own value in the midst of uncertainty. In addition to the premiere, the singer-songwriter will perform on November 20 at the Puebla Forum from Mexico City.
