The Legendary Tigerman returns to Paris

Music news

The multifaceted Portuguese musician The Legendary Tigerman will give a concert at La Maroquinerie on May 29, 2024.

Paulo Furtado, aka The Legendary Tigerman, announces a new Parisian date, scheduled for May 29, 2024 at La Maroquinerie. Places are available. This visit will take place six years almost to the day after his last visit to the Capital, which took place at the Café de la danse on May 28, 2018. The editorial team was present at his concert at Point Éphémère the same year.

This concert will be an opportunity for the Portuguese musician to present Zeitgeisthis new studio album. “I am not sure that the definition of zeitgeist can still be applied to our time because I think that everyone lives in their own bubble” explain The Legendary Tigerman during an interview with the editorial staff. “Which was the case for me when I wrote the lyrics to these new songs, in full confinement. Strangely, what was personal, even intimate to me until now, then became universal, as if my own zeitgeist applied to everyone. »

This disc notably includes the singles “Good Girl”, “New Love” and “Losers”. The first was recorded with Asia Argento. “It’s a badass piece, we needed a guest of the same ilk” declared Paulo Furtado to the editorial staff. “So I thought of Asia Argento, with whom I had done a song in the album Femina (“Life ain’t enough for you”). I like curls. Thus, I am closing the Femina chapter (whose 10th anniversary was celebrated in 2019 during a residency at Centquatre (Paris)) and I am opening a new one with the same collaboration. »

Marking a new artistic direction, more oriented towards electronic music, Zeitgeist thus promises new things on stage. See you on May 29, 2024 to discover the new direction of The Legendary Tigerman.
