Pop revelation Chappell Roan will pay tribute to her idol Cyndi Lauper during the 40th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on November 8 in Los Angeles. The event promises to be a highlight of sorority and flamboyant pop.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is preparing to experience a highly symbolic ceremony: Chappell Roan has been chosen to induct Cyndi Lauper during the 40th edition, which will be held on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

In a video posted to Instagram, Roan shared his excitement and admiration for the pop legend.

The Rock Hall also confirmed the participation of The Killers, who join a prestigious cast. Among the expected artists and personalities are Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Elton John, Beck, David Letterman, Flea, Iggy Pop, Killer Mike, Maxwell, Questlove, Raye, Sleepy Brown, Teddy Swims, Twenty One Pilots and Taylor Momsen.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Disney+, then available the following day on Hulu.

In addition to Cyndi Lauper, this edition will honor Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes, as well as Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon (Musical Influence category). The Rock Hall will also honor Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye for Musical Excellence, and Lenny Waronker for the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
