MUNA releases his highly anticipated new single, “Dancing On The Wall”. This song is intended to be the centerpiece and title track of their upcoming fourth studio album, which is scheduled for release on May 8th via their usual labels, Saddest Factory Records and Secretly Group.
The band describes their creation as a song that “comes from a very emotional and lonely place”, but at the same time makes them feel “powerful and euphoric”, reflecting “the best of MUNA“. The lyrics use the metaphor of a moment at the dance, near midnight, where you must “give up the fantasy” of “loving someone or something that cannot love you back”, suggesting a theme of painful acceptance.
