The song is the second preview of the upcoming self-titled album.
After the announcement of the launch of The Eyes of the Condorthe new album by Gutierrez Brothers which will be available on September 25th through Easy Eye Soundthe project presented the homonymous single as the second preview of the production. The song offers a new look at the Andes mountain range, with the aim of paying tribute to the musicians' cultural roots.
The Swiss-Ecuadorian duo, made up of Estevan and Alejandro Gutierrezdelivers a theme inspired by the symbolism of the condor, a bird considered within the indigenous worldview as a sacred link between the earthly and spiritual planes. Through this figure, the duo builds an atmosphere that evokes the nature, mystique and depth of the Andean region.
The single comes accompanied by a video directed by Robert Schoberin which the musicians travel through various mountainous landscapes while guarding a white egg. The story works as a metaphor about life, the preservation of legacy and the link between generations, taking up the symbolism of the condor, a figure of great importance for different cultures in South America.
“The Eyes of the Condor” adds to “Andean Song“ as one of the first advances of the material. According to the duet, the album was conceived from the simplicity of two guitars, while Alexander It incorporates the sound of the charango for the first time, expanding the sound universe of the project without losing the instrumental identity that has characterized it.
