LEGO has built a mural for tonight's Marra Block Party in Barona

LEGO Italia takes part in the Marra Block Party in Barona in Milan, the great event created by Marracash in the Milanese neighborhood that saw him grow. The brand will be the official partner of the initiative with a mural installation that transforms the language of construction into a social and community gesture.

Scheduled today, Saturday 18 April in via Enrico De Nicola, in Milan, the Marra Block Party is a day of music and sharing. This is not a simple concert, but a party built with and for the neighborhood: first there will be space for young talents and street artists, then in the evening it will be the turn of a performance by Marra. The project, produced by Friends&Partners and BigPicture Mngmnt in collaboration with Municipality 6 and the Municipality of Milan, also envisages a concrete impact on the neighbourhood.

Precisely for this occasion, LEGO Italia has created something that wants to leave its mark, a symbol to be created all together. In the heart of the event will arise a large multi-level installationbuilt by LEGO® Certified Professional Riccardo Zangelmi with almost 10,000 bricks.

First of all, ViperHaze and Luna, two of the best-known writers in Milan, already authors of the famous work on partisan women at Barrio's, an iconic cultural center of the area, will create the installation a mural with the writing BARONA. The public present at the event will be able to detach and take the LEGO® bricks with themto preserve a small fragment of the project. As the bricks from the upper part of the mural are removed, the hidden writing “ will emergeWe are unique pieces from the same neighborhood”, also created by the two writers, and a symbol of creativity, strength in diversity and the power of construction. On this part there will also be Marracash's signature, left by the artist on non-removable white bricks to represent the indissoluble bond with his community. At the end of the event, the work will be donated to Barrio's, where everyone will be able to admire and photograph it.
