Rodrigo announced “Drop Dead” on April 7. In the wake of the album's announcement campaign, she raised the anticipation on Instagram with several excerpts posted in reels – one accompanied by a photo of several pints of Guinness and the line “I hope you never finish that beer”another showing her on a train with the replica “It’s feminine intuition”.
