LIVE REPORT: Main Square 2026

A look back at the latest edition of Main Square, during which 126,000 festival-goers celebrated the 20th anniversary of the event.

For its 20th anniversary, the festival Main Squarewhich welcomed 126,000 spectators over three days, put the small flight cases in the big ones thanks to an eclectic program which mixed headliners, established artists and young up-and-comers in the making.

Seventeen years after his first concert in Arras, Katy Perry has transformed into a comic book heroine leading her technicolor show. Both kitsch and committed, the American singer returned to the Mainstage with her unifying hits: “Last Friday Night”, “I Kissed a Girl”…

The duo Twenty One Pilotswhich held its only French date of the year here, did not fail in its reputation by presenting an XXL show both musically and on stage and by increasing interactions with the public, in particular by inviting a security agent to sing on “Ride”. Great art.

Guitar, bass, drums… simple and effective, the three Villarreal sisters who compose The Warning delighted the audience with their energetic heavy-rock, despite the drummer's feverish state of health. Since their previous performance at Main Square in 2024, the three musicians have undoubtedly gained in maturity and thickened their sound.

In the electro department, special mention to Hubert “Boombass” who perpetuates the music of Cassius and the memory of Philippe Zdar with great reinforcement of classy visual animations, well-felt retro house and burst bangers.

Finally, the young Lille MDNS confirmed all the hopes placed in him by transforming the Le Bastion stage into a pop, rap, punk and pop battlefield. An artist to follow… if you can make it!
